Brenner Nordzulauf

Both sections form part of the northern access route to the Brenner Base Tunnel and thus belong to the Scandinavian–Mediterranean Corridor (Scan–Med Corridor), Europe’s most important north–south railway axis stretching from Finland to Malta.

In addition to the open sections of track, the associated transport facilities, bridges, noise barriers and tunnel structures are also being designed. The design work is being carried out entirely using the BIM method and also includes options for the subsequent design phases (conceptual, approval and tender design).

Within planning section PA 1 Grafing-Ostermünchen, OBERMEYER is responsible for the design of the structural engineering works and tunnels. Components of the design include, among others, the approximately 700-metre-long Filzental Bridge and the approximately 3,700-metre-long Salach Tunnel.

Within planning section PA 3 Innleiten-Kirnstein, OBERMEYER is responsible for the design of civil engineering structures, transport facilities and sections of the tunnels. The scope of the design includes, amongst other things, the approximately 8.5 km long Innleiten Tunnel between Innleiten and the municipal areas of Stephanskirchen and Riedering, as well as the open section in the vicinity of the maintenance depot with passing tracks at Holzen. The approximately 13.9 km long Sattelberg Tunnel begins immediately before the A8 motorway at Rohrdorf and ends west of the A93 Inntal motorway after passing under the Inn river and the A93 motorway.
